The energy accreditation requirements for Australian IBOs will be changing as of Thursday 1 June, 2017. This relaunch will enhance the IBO training experience, build your confidence in selling our Energy services and ensure we comply with energy partner contractual obligations.
The requirements will occur in two phases:
- From Thursday 1 June, new IBOs and existing IBOs not already Energy Accredited will need to complete the accreditation and achieve 80% in the accompanying quiz before a customer can order energy from their Direct StoreFront. There will be no grace period but IBOs will have multiple attempts to pass the assessment.
- From Saturday 1 July, all existing IBOs will need to re-sit the accreditation on or before their annual IBO renewal date before a customer can order energy from their Direct StoreFront. There will be no grace period but IBOs will have multiple attempts to pass the assessment.
To ensure that the new accreditation requirement is more engaging and easy to follow, we have completely revamped the accreditation course, included a simple quiz and refreshed the Energy Essentials training.
To ensure new IBOs are ‘licensed to sell’ energy from 1 June, they must complete the accreditation training course before customers can order energy or obtain a quote from their Direct StoreFront – we recommend they do so in their first 24 hours. We also suggest all IBOs review the Energy Essentials training modules to gain a complete understanding of our energy offerings.
- Multi-media energy accreditation training course
The accreditation course will consist of 4 modules using a combination of video and slides with voice-over plus a short quiz. IBOs must achieve a minimum of 80% (at least 4 correct questions from 5), but are allowed multiple attempts to sit the quiz in one sitting.
- Energy Essentials Training
This training is all encompassing and combines everything you need to know to confidently provide your customers with accurate information on ACN energy partners Click Energy and EnergyAustralia.
